Nabil Ayers | Host.

Nabil Ayers is the host of Identified, a podcast about family. Ayers published his memoir, “My Life in the Sunshine” (Viking) in 2022, and has written about family, race, and music in the New York Times, The Guardian, Pitchfork, NPR, and GQ. In his day job, Ayers is president of the Beggars Group (US) of record labels in New York.

After co-founding Seattle's Sonic Boom Records store at age 25, Ayers sold it to a longtime customer in 2016. As both an executive and an artist who began his career as a musician Ayers has performed on several albums on both independent and major labels. On his own label, The Control Group, Ayers has released music by Cate Le Bon, Lykke Li, Bad Brains, The Killers, PJ Harvey and his uncle, the jazz musician Alan Braufman.

Kieron Banerji | Executive Producer.

An executive producer and creative director, Kieron Banerji has over a decade of experience in the media and creative industries, and is the Founder and Creative Director of Palm Tree Island, an audio-first creative agency and production house. Previously, Kieron ran video/audio operations for Finimize, and was part of the founding team that led the company to an FTSE-100 acquisition. Before that, he managed sound and music operations for Monocle Magazine, where he recorded, mixed, and produced sessions for some of the world's biggest artists. 

Kieron has delivered projects for global brands such as American Express, Franchise, Big Beach, Air Canada, Lufthansa, IBM, EQT, CITI Bank, Chanel, and Audi. He has consulted for the likes of EQT, Delphia, and CAA.
